What It Pairs With
A normal ATX build that has to live in a warm room. It takes a 360mm radiator if you want one and a full-length graphics card, so nothing about the parts list has to change to suit it. It is also a straightforward case to work in, with sensible cable routing and no clever mechanism to fight, which matters more the first time you build than people expect.
Who This Isn’t For
A build where the case itself is meant to be part of the display. A mesh front is a mesh front; it is there to pass air, not to be admired, and if you want glass across the face of the machine this is not the chassis for that. The included fans are also unlit, so a colour scheme running through every component will need them replaced — which somewhat undoes the reason to choose it. Common Questions
Why does fan size change the noise?
Noise rises sharply with blade speed. A 160mm fan sweeps more area per turn, so it can run several hundred RPM slower for the same volume of air, and slower blades make less of the rushing sound you actually notice across a room.
Do I need to buy more fans?
Usually not. Two large intakes and the exhaust cover a normal build, and adding fans past the point of usefulness costs noise rather than temperature. Send us the parts list and we will say whether anything more is worth it.
How often will it need cleaning here?
A mesh front pulls dust as well as air, so expect to take the filter out every couple of months in this part of the world. It comes out and rinses in a minute, and it is the single cheapest thing you can do for temperatures.
