What It Pairs With
A case with a free 240mm radiator mount, roof or front, and room for the card itself, which is still a substantial thing. A high-wattage ATX 3.1 supply with a native 12V-2×6 connector. If you already run a liquid CPU cooler, check the two do not want the same mounting position — that clash is common and easy to miss until the parts are in front of you. Plan the fan layout so the radiator has a clear path out.
Who This Isn’t For
If your case has no radiator mounting left, this is simply the wrong card for the build and an air-cooled 5090 is the straightforward route. It is also more complexity than a first build needs: there is a pump, a set of tubes and a radiator to route, and while none of it is difficult, all of it is one more thing to get right on the day.

Where does the radiator go?

Is it actually quieter in practice?
Under sustained load, noticeably so, because the heat leaves the case rather than circulating inside it. At idle there is very little in it either way.
Does the pump need maintenance?
No. It is a sealed all-in-one unit, filled and closed at the factory, with no topping up expected across its service life.
