Every flick starts a mass moving and every stop brings it back to rest, a few thousand times an evening. At around sixty grams there is simply less of it to start and less to stop, and the effect turns up in the third hour rather than the first — the hand is doing less work to place the cursor where you were already looking. The HERO 2 sensor tracks whatever speed that produces. USB-C charging, and an ambidextrous shell.

What It Pairs With
A large cloth mat and a low sensitivity setting, which is the pairing a light mouse is really for — big arm movements rather than small wrist ones, with nothing fighting you at either end of the swipe. It suits a compact keyboard that leaves room for those movements, and a USB-C cable kept at the desk so a charge never has to interrupt anything. Wireless here means a dongle rather than Bluetooth, so keep the receiver near the mat.
Who This Isn’t For
Anyone who plays games built around buttons. There are no side thumb buttons in a bank, no macro cluster and no scroll tilt, so an MMO player or someone who binds half their toolbar to the mouse will run out of controls on the first evening. It is also a deliberately plain shape, which suits many hands and does not suit all — a large palm grip in particular can find a light, small mouse hard to settle into. Tell us your hand size and grip and we will be honest about the fit.
Common Questions
Does weight actually make me better?
It makes you less tired, which is not the same claim. Over a long session a lighter mouse asks less of the hand and the aim stays steadier later on. Anyone promising that sixty grams will win you a match is overselling it.
Is wireless a disadvantage for competitive play?
Not any more. A modern dongle connection is quick enough that the difference from a cable is not something a player can feel, and you lose the cable dragging across the mat. Keep the receiver close rather than at the back of the tower.
How do I know the shape suits my hand?
Measure your hand from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger, and note whether your fingers rest flat or arch up. Send us both with your enquiry and we will tell you whether this shape fits or whether you want something with more body to it.
Send us your hand measurement and whether you palm or claw grip, and we will say honestly whether this is a step up from what you have. Availability confirmed at time of quote.
