The size is the point of this board. Micro-ATX carries the same AM5 socket and DDR5 memory as a full-size layout but drops the bottom expansion slots, so it goes into compact cases that a standard ATX board will not physically enter. GIGABYTE keeps the important connectors reachable despite the shorter board — the M.2 heatsink and the main power header stay clear once a graphics card is fitted. Wired networking only on this model.

What It Pairs With
A Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 is the natural match — the power stages here are sized for those chips and hold them at their rated boost without complaint. Two sticks of DDR5 6000 with EXPO enabled is the memory to buy, and leaving the other two slots empty is what keeps that speed stable. Check graphics card length against your case before you order, because compact chassis run out of room at the front long before the board does. A tower air cooler with the height checked against the side panel, and a 650W to 750W supply, covers most builds on this board.
Who This Isn’t For
A machine that spends its working day rendering or exporting video on a Ryzen 9 will ask more of the power delivery than a board this size is built to give, and it wants more airflow around the VRM than a small case tends to provide. It is also the wrong choice if the build needs several expansion cards at once — a capture card, a sound card and a network card will not all find a home on a micro-ATX layout. And if the machine has to connect over wireless, this model has no radio on it.
Common Questions
Will it fit my case?
Almost certainly, if the case is rated for ATX or micro-ATX — a full-size case takes a micro-ATX board quite happily and simply leaves empty mounting points. A mini-ITX case will not take it. Send the case model and we will confirm.
How do I get wireless on it?
Either a PCIe wireless card in one of the free slots, or a USB adapter if the slots are spoken for. Tell us which you would prefer and we will quote it alongside the board, or price the WiFi variant instead.
Does the M.2 slot being PCIe 4.0 slow my drive down?
Only on a benchmark. A Gen4 drive runs at full speed here, and a Gen5 drive will still work — it just runs at Gen4 rates. Game load times and general use are dominated by other things long before the interface matters.
